NEWS

It’s SPRING in Osceola!

Families are enjoying sunshine, picnics, and playtime.

Fern Hunsberger Park renovations continue, with something happening almost every week.

Trees are being planted, the walking path around the perimeter is complete, along with the

newly paved alley and parking spaces on each sides!  The electric has been updated to

serve our food trucks, and arts and craft vendors.

Come on out to relax, exercise or play, everyone is welcome!

The 42nd annual Osceola Music Festival  is  less than 3 months away, but don’t wait to enjoy the

first of the amazing upgrades at the Festival’s longtime venue, Fern Hunsberger Park.

The Osceola Town Council  approved a 4 phase master plan to dramatically improve the

Park in January 2025, and broke ground soon after the snow melted.

This past year children and adults have enjoyed a safe, inclusive and environmentally friendly playground, as well

as a paved walking path around the perimeter of the beautiful natural wood equipment.

In the Spring of 2025, Osceola launched a Patronicity fundraiser that brought in more than $62,000.00 and triggered an additional $50,000.00 State grant. This money funded Phase 2 of the park project and these additional upgrades:

• A paved walking path around the perimeter of the park

• Major electrical upgrades for nighttime lights and Osceola Music Festival vendors.

• Additional, paved parking around the perimeter of the park to enlarge space for the Festival, as well as new events in the future.

• An ADA compliant swing set for all to enjoy

For additional details on the Phase 2 matching grant, visit:

Soon, the town council and treasurer/clerk will announce plans to fund the next projects and

outline your opportunity to donate and become a part of Osceola history.   Future projects include:

Phase 3 and 4:

• Amphitheater for festival musicians and new events

• A permanent stage to replace the one that has been painstakingly moved into place for the last 41 years!

With your help, your park is already bringing joy to many families, not only at Festival time, but throughout the year.

Over the years, the Osceola Music Festival has been fortunate to make thousands of friends and supporters like you.

We believe we can count on you to make the next fundraiser a success and reach our goal to complete the total project!

THANK YOU!!
